Gabion walls are heavy-duty welded wire baskets filled with stone that create exceptionally stable retaining structures. Highly versatile and DIY-friendly, they can be assembled quickly using pre-fabricated panels or customized on-site by cutting and welding flat wire sheets to fit your specific topography. They can be topped with wood to create integrated garden seating, stacked to form massive walls, or even used as artistic partitions that define and separate spaces.

Notes:

• The weight of the stones in each basket will cause it to bow outward so some sort of cross-tie wire support inside each section can be helpful to prevent this.
